Merlin Tefolo is a Cameroonian visual artist born in Libreville on November 07, 1977. He studied at the École Nationale des Arts et Manufactures in Libreville in 1999.
Arriving in Cameroon in 2000, he quickly surrounded himself with his peers Goddy Leye, Koko Komegne, Hervé Yamguen and Hervé Youmbi, with whom he gained further experience. From 2002 to 2010, he held a series of group exhibitions and workshops in Douala and Yaoundé. His participation in the group exhibition Kadima presented at “galerie Keuko” in 2011 revealed him to the public.
In July 2012, he was invited to show his work at Espace doual’art, in the exhibition Douala, Portraits, alongside Dieudonné Fokou and Hako Hankson.
He is co-president of the organizing committee of the Marché des Arts Plastiques in the Bali district (Douala), and co-founder of the arts café “Caf’art”.
